Elias is an author and advocate who writes with honesty about the roads we’re told not to talk about. An American South native, he writes for anyone who’s ever felt like their story didn’t matter. His debut title, Dreams Are For The Dead, intends to give a voice to the forgotten corners of the human experience.

His life has spanned the unthinkable and the unimaginable—addiction, sex work, reinvention—and now, healing. Based in the American Midwest, he uses his voice to speak for those still in the storm. He is deeply committed to telling the kind of stories people are afraid to say out loud—for truth, connection, and hope. Whether on the page or behind a microphone, he meets people where they are and reminds them, they are not alone.

Every day, Elias has held on to one thing: the power of words to name pain, reclaim dignity, and call people home to themselves.

He is expanding his creative reach beyond his memoir, diving into new works that span political commentary, theological non-fiction, and imaginative children’s books. With a passion for storytelling in all its forms, he brings the same authenticity and emotional depth to each genre, crafting stories that inspire, entertain, and connect with readers of all ages.

When he is not writing or speaking, Elias finds peace on quiet walks, flipping through vinyls at local record stores, singing with his local Gay Men’s Chorus, or cooking recipes from The Moosewood Cookbook. He is obsessed with vintage ties, heartfelt conversation, and anything Judy Collins has ever sung.
